ISO 24712 8601 Information Technology Interchange

The International Standard provides a set of test pages in a standard format for files that can be utilized in testing the cartridge yields for colour toner and colour ink. The test suite isn't intended for printing photographs but rather to give a sample of the consumer pages. These pages can be used in accordance with ISO/IEC 19798 or ISO/IEC24711.
The special system of global standardization is made up of IEC (the International Organization for Standardization), and ISO (the International Organization for Standardization). National organizations that are members of ISO or IEC contribute to the development of International Standards through technical committees established by the respective organization to address specific areas of technical work. ISO and IEC technical committees collaborate on areas of mutual interest. The participation is also facilitated by non-governmental international organizations and government bodies working as liaisons to ISO and IEC. ISO/IEC JTC 1 is an international technical committee that was created by IEC and ISO in the field of information technology. International Standards are created following the guidelines of the ISO/IEC Directives.

The draft International Standards that the joint technical committee has endorsed are given to national bodies to seek their approval. In order to be published as an International Standard requires approval by at least 75 percent of the national bodies casting votes. Test pages in color to determine the loss of consumables from office equipment 1 Scope. The purpose of the International Standard is to create color test sheets to measure the consumable loss. The test page suite comprises four "customer" type documents as well as one "diagnostic" page that is used to determine end of toner or ink consumable lifespan. These pages can be used for electro-photographic, inkjet printers and multi-function devices that have a digital printing path, i.e. All-in-one machines that can digitally print.

This International Standard provides a collection of test pages in one file format that could be used in testing the consumable yield. These pages are described in ISO/IEC 19988 and ISO/IEC 24711. These pages are a selection of documents that can be employed at home or at the office.
